These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not: But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. (Matthew 10:5-8)
Jesus said His disciples which includes every believer, “As ye go, preach the gospel, heal the sick, cleanse lepers cast out devils.” Who should heal the sick? You! Who should cleanse the lepers and cast out devils? You! The reason many have nothing to give is because they have not freely received what Jesus has freely given. One day a man came to me who did not believe in God. He was an atheist. The wife would attend our meetings from time to time because she was a believer. The man had just been diagnosed with a tumor in his stomach as large as the size of a baseball. When the man came to me, I said to him, sir, I’m not going to try and convince you to believe in God, but I will tell you what He has done for me. You see time we get caught up in trying to convince people that God can do something for them when we have no proofs to show. After I finished sharing my testimony, I prayed a simple prayer. “Father prove to this man that You are God.” He left and went back to his house. The following day he went to see his doctor after they ran the scan, the doctor was surprised at what he saw. The hole where the mass sat was still there, but the mass had disappeared. The man came back running to my house bewildered and shouting, “it’s not there, it’s not there.” I sat him down and asked, “What’s not there?” he said the tumor is gone! I asked, where did it go? he said I don’t know! “I replied, “My God has done it! Do you now believe in God? He said, “yes, I believe!”
That man believed because he personally witnessed the power of God at work in him. There are people who would not believe unless they see a miracle. The church has told stories about God for too long that some people will not believe until they see signs and wonders to convince them that God does exist.
When Christ brought the kingdom of God to earth with the casting out of demons, many people were left speechless. They had never seen anything like it. Some people asked,
“What a word is this! for with authority and power he commandeth the unclean spirits, and they come out. And the fame of him (Jesus) went out into every place of the country round about.” (Luke 4:36-37)
And so, the people reacted to Jesus’ power to cast out demons with either great admiration) if they believed in Him) or mistrust (if they did not accept Him).
Those who were under the influence of demon spirits had a strong negative reaction to this overthrow of the kingdom of darkness. The message of deliverance is a message that overthrows the kingdom of darkness.
That is why to preach the kingdom of God without ministering deliverance is a violation of the laws of the God’s realm of Government, because the gospel of the kingdom demands the removal of satan’s kingdom. We need the power of God in the church to set people free, not another story telling service. Whenever the message of the kingdom of God is preached undiluted, the power of God comes down to heal, cleanse and deliver those who are bound by Satan’s oppression. When Jesus commissioned the disciples He said the following:
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen. (Mark 16:15-20)
PRAYER:
Father in the name of Jesus, I declare deliverance over my life, whatever does not look is in me that does not look like God must come out today in the name of Jesus Christ.
I bind every demonic influence over my life, and I declare that Jesus Christ is setting me free now.
I confess that deliverance is taking place in me right now in the name of Jesus
