FAITH IN THE BLESSING

The blessing of the Lord began in Genesis 1-2. God’s last work of creation was to bless man.

In Genesis 1:1 the Bible says, “In the beginning God…”

Now, you can’t get any closer to the beginning than that. The blessing of the Lord is the very creative force of God. It created all that we see. I must say that we have lost the power of the word “blessing” which means to empower.

The word blessing is not just another Bible word - it is God’s empowerment. His power that established the universe. He put this same power and anointing on Adam who was created in His image.

In Genesis 1:27-28 we read: So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

After Adam was created, the first word he ever heard before anything else was the voice of God saying to him, “you are blessed.” God empowered Adam to replenish the earth, to be fruitful and to dominate it.

If we read in Genesis 2:1-3, we will notice that God rested on the seventh day after He finished His work of creation. His last work was not the creation of man, it was the Blessing of man.

Then, God sat down. And since that time God put the condition for the blessing on one thing – the word. “Faith in His word.”

The word of God is the source of the blessing because the word of God is the source of faith.

And we know from Romans 10:17 that “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”

And then we also learn from Galatians 3:9 that: “They which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.”

Therefore, faith in God’s word has and will always be the connection to the blessing of the Lord in our lives today. Believing and obeying the word of God by faith brings the manifestations of God’s blessings into our lives. We are justified by faith, we walk by faith, we live by faith, and we will die and resurrect by the operation of the faith of God. And so, everything God does and everything we will enjoy including the blessing all will come to us by faith. So right now, go ahead and release your faith to receive the blessing of the Lord.

Proverbs 10:22 says, “The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”

PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I have heard your word and right now, I release my faith to receive the blessing. I choose the blessing. I decree and declare that today my life is blessed, my relationships and marriage is blessed. My job, my business and my family are blessed in Jesus name, Amen!
