I’M ALIVE FOR GOD’S GLORY

You have a choice whether to receive God’s gift of life or not. I want to end this section with two short stories - one of them was a Bible College student who kept saying, “I know I will die, and I can die at any time even before the age of 40.”

A few years later he took ill and was taken to the hospital. Continuous prayers were made for him to be healed but to no avail and he died just before he turned 40 years old as he had spoken. Brother Hagin got a revelation where God told him why this young man could not be healed. He said, because he already had put a death sentence on himself by constantly speaking death over his life. And the Lord told Brother Hagin that it was not His will for this person to die but he cut his life short by speaking death on himself.

The other story is that of a preacher who was diagnosed with a deadly disease and as he was walking one day, he felt his life leaving his body. Then he saw himself in another realm that was not this world, and Deuteronomy 30:19 came to his mind, so he shouted, “I choose life!” Immediately his life (his spirit) returned into his body and he lived pass the time doctors had said he would live. Life is a choice, therefore, choose life!

God has given us life to enjoy. There is work for you to do here on earth. Think of the souls that need to be saved, and how many would be lost if you and I were not here today to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. No wonder the Psalmist declared, I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD. Psalm 118:17

That was one of the scriptures I meditated on every day when the devil kept trying to cast a spirit of death on me. I confessed this Psalm and John 10:27-30 daily until I became very bold and I could sleep without fear of anything happening to me. Praise God! And guess what? The devil had seen that I was going to do great things for God, that is why he came to attack my mind. But praise be to God who delivered me and through my ministry, several people have received the gospel message. And several more have been healed and delivered from bondage. Glory to God!

The Lord spoke through Moses to the children of Israel:

And ye shall serve the Lord your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. There shall nothing cast their young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil. Exodus 23:25-26

You see, we are not here for ourselves, we are here to serve God and that is the purpose for the life we have received - to serve God. And as we serve Him, He will preserve our lives from the enemy, and we shall live a good long life, see our children’s children and be a blessing to the kingdom of God here on earth.

Right now, as you pray, thank God for the gift of life which He has given you. He calls us to take up His Word of Truth in order to confront the wickedness of the enemy.

PRAYER: I choose Life!

Heavenly Father, I thank you for life, I appreciate and cherish my life

Today I declare that my life is a gift from God and not my own, therefore no man can take it away from me nor out of the hand of Jesus.

No sickness, no death, no fear, no devil or poverty has power to take me out of the mighty hand of Jesus.

I declare, my life is sacred to God, I hear His voice; and as I hear and follow the voice of my Father, I shall live a good long life in Jesus name.

According to Mark 11:23, I choose Life,

I shall live!
