PRAY AND MEDITATE ON TESTIMONIES

If you want to see miracles every day, then go to bed every night meditating on testimonies. Wake up every morning meditating on the goodness of God. The Bible mentions meditation 23 times; 19 of them appear in the Psalms. A man after God’s heart, David, knew the power of meditation. He wrote more about it than anyone else. For example David said in Psalm 119:99, “I have more understanding than all my teachers: for thy testimonies are my meditation.”

“Meditation is focused thinking. It takes serious effort. You can either select a verse in the Bible that talks about the miracles of God and meditate on it, or you can meditate on a powerful testimony you witness at a miracle service - reflect on it over and over in your mind…if you know how to worry, it means you already know how to meditate. No other habit can do more to transform your life and make you more like Jesus than daily meditation on miracles and the power of God.

If you look up all the times God speaks about meditation in the Bible, you will be amazed at the benefits He has promised to those who take the time to reflect on His goodness throughout the day.” God told Joshua to meditate on the first five books of the Bible written by Moses. That’s all they had at the time. Joshua was to read and meditate on all the miracles God did through Moses and the testimonies from the time they left Egypt until the time Moses went to heaven. And so, God instructed Joshua:

“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.” Joshua 1:8

PRAYER: Father in the name of Jesus, I will remember Your goodness and meditate on Your faithfulness towards me and my family. I will speak of, meditate on Your promises and miracles all day long in the name of Jesus.

Amen!
