PREACHED THE WORD AND CAST OUT DEMONS

The first gospel preacher Jesus sent out (the twelve) their work was the same as that of Christ – because they preached the kingdom and Jesus always confirmed what was preached.

Announcing the kingdom of God without accompanying signs is simply a motivational message. This is what happened when the twelve went out to preach. The Bible says:

" And they went out, and preached that men should repent. And they cast out many devils, and anointed with oil many that were sick, and healed them.” (Mark 6:12-13)

So, you see, when the kingdom of God is preached, and the kingdom arrives in our hearts, we will see people set free from oppression and bondage. Because it is the power of the kingdom that sets people free from spiritual blindness and satanic attacks.

"And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them. And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan." Matthew 4:23-25

Demonic spirits cannot withstand the presence of the King and His kingdom. An example of this truth is found in the gospel of Mark.

And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,

Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. And when the unclean spirit had torn him, and cried with a loud voice, he came out of him. Mark 1:23-26

This man was a member of the synagogue, yet he was possessed with multiple demons that is why the spirit spoke of itself as “us” and “we.” The evil spirit cried out voicing out his displeasure at being meddled with by Christ. Demons speak through people during deliverance. You may think it’s them but it’s the evil spirit using their voice.

Demon spirits know who is anointed of God and who is not. They knew who Jesus was, that’s why they called Him “the Holy One of God.” And they also knew that He had the power to cast them out and punish them. And when Jesus commanded the demon to come out of him, the man was set free.

Also in the New Testament Church we see them preaching the gospel with signs, wonders and miracles with unclean spirits coming out of people.

Therefore they that were scattered abroad went every where preaching the word. Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city. Acts 8:4-8

These people who had been paralyzed and shaking because of spirits were all delivered under the ministry of Philip as he preached the gospel of the kingdom not just with words but with signs and wonders accompanying the word.

PRAYER:

Father in the name of Jesus, I declare deliverance over my life, whatever is in me that does not look like God must come out today in the name of Jesus Christ.

I bind every demonic influence over my life, and I declare that Jesus Christ is setting me free now.

I confess that deliverance is taking place in me right now in the name of Jesus

Amen!
