The King James Reads, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”
In the above verse, the Apostle Paul was affirming the supernatural strength we have residing in us, in Christ, to confront any storm that comes our way and conquer it to the glory of God.
The word strength or strengthen is the same word translated power which is also Dunamis in the Greek language. At Salvation, we are given supernatural power which resides in us, but Paul says, God energizes this Dunamis so that the believer can perform extra ordinary tasks. Although we all can have 50% Dunamis, one person can manifest more power than the other. One person can exercise more supernatural strength against the enemy or the challenges of life when God energizes his/her Dunamis.
In Ephesians 1:19 Paul prayed for believers to understand the power that’s at work in them.
“And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.”
The exceeding greatness of the Dunamis in us is according to the working of God’s mighty power. That means the power at work in me is determined by how much God energizes it. If God does not energize the power within you, you cannot win the battles of life. Which also means, you and I will see more manifestations of God in our lives and in the church when we are all energized. No wonder Jesus when addressing the seven churches in the book of Revelation gave this firm warning against not being energized spiritually.
“And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God; I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.” Revelation 3:14-16
The thing is, when believers are energized, poverty is no longer an obstacle, challenges will come and go but the believer will remain standing. I pray that God will so energize you to the point where the troubles of life will bounce off on you and be destroyed while you live on.
There was a man in the Bible like that. This man was so energized that even death could not take him. His name was Enoch. The Bible says, “And all the days of Enoch were three hundred sixty and five years: And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.” Genesis 5:23-24
Why would God take Enoch? Because the man was so energized to the point where he could have lived on if God did not take him. I can assure you that anything negative that crossed his path exploded because of the Dunamis (the explosive power of God) that resided in him. I can imagine people and things blowing up on the streets upon contact with Enoch, Why? Because of the power that was coming out of him. And God said no, Enoch come up here else you will blow up everyone down there. That was the same power Jesus operated in when He was here. Jesus was so energized with the energy of God that even demons recognized Him and would often scream out in people, “What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?”
They knew who He was, He was not like the other church leaders of their Synagogues no, Jesus was fully energized by the Father. It is my prayer that you desire supernatural power to deal with every problem you are going through in Jesus name.
PROPHETIC DECLARATION
From today, you shall speak like Paul, “I can do all things through Christ who energizes me.”
I prophesy that there shall be no more weakness, coldness, or lukewarmness. Receive the energy of God into your life in the name of Jesus.
