Read Psalm 112:1-3 (AMPC)
Part of God's desire and design for every one of us besides eternal life, is that while on this earth we enjoy divine health a good long life and wealth (material blessings). Throughout the Scripture, we see how God's blessings would often be pronounced on everyone, and that is because His blessing is the ultimate. When we understand that it is the blessing of the Lord that can enrich and take us to our desired position, many of our fruitless struggles will seize. In fact, all our efforts to accumulate wealth, especially in corrupt or dubious ways, will be totally eliminated. That is because we would come to understand that our assignment is
not to work things out our way but to follow biblical principles that will guarantee and release God's blessings upon us. The blessing of the Lord is packed up in the Bible. Truly, another name that we could give to the Bible is - the book of God's blessings. The Bible is divided into two parts. One side is the Blessing, and on the other side is the curse. I believe in the Blessing and I do believe that the Curse is real because I have seen and even experienced some of the effects of the curse. I have heard Christians and even preachers tell their people from the pulpit, “There is nothing like the curse because Jesus paid the ultimate price to eradicate the curse.” Well, let us read two scriptures and find out what God’s word say.
"I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live." (Deuteronomy 30:19)
Notice that in this decree the Lord says, “I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing.” Those four words stand out. But He says, choose life and choose the blessing. But that doesn’t cancel the existence of the curse or death. Our responsibility therefore as believers is not to be in denial that curses don’t exist, it’s like saying death is not real. To enjoy life and the blessing, what must we do? We must choose to stay on the blessing side of life, and that is God’s side.
PRAYER: Heavenly Father, I have lived on the curse side of life in my finances, business, family and my relationships. Fortify me by your Spirit to cross over into the blessing side of life from this day. I choose to obey your word and to live and walk in the blessing. In Jesus name, Amen.
