THE LORD REMEMBER ME

For some weeks now we have been looking at the power of the blessing. One of the keys that will trigger the blessing in your life is when God remembers you. You may ask, but I thought God does not forget so what do mean when you say, “when God remembers me?” You are right! God does not forget. He is the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, and the creator of the universe. He doesn’t suffer from memory lapses. But in every instance of God "remembering a person," we will see that it always includes an action. God never forgets His promises and He never forgets to bless His people.

The phrase “God remembered” appears in the Bible numerous times. The word ‘remember’ in the Merriam-Webster Dictionary means to “bring to mind or think of again,” or to “retain in the memory.” It doesn’t necessarily imply one has forgotten the thing one is mindful of, but rather that it is on one’s mind. So, for God to “remember” means for God to have it on His mind. In psalm 132:1 The psalmist cries out to God saying, “Lord, remember David, and all his afflictions.” From this scripture, we can take comfort that God does remember all the afflictions we have endured and are going through for His glory. He has remembered us, and He will bend over and bless us, our family and the works of our hands.

When God remembers a person the following will happen:

He will turn a death sentence into long life. He will bring healing and deliverance where a person was trapped in bondage. Every negative label on you, the spirit of fear and failure pursuing will turn into favor and blessings when God remembers you. When God remembers you, He suspend natural laws for your sake and give you grace for supernatural accomplishments in the midst of the difficulties.

And God remembered Noah, and every living thing, and all the cattle that was with him in the ark: and God made a wind to pass over the earth, and the waters assuaged. (Genesis 8:1)

Whenever God remembers a person, it means it’s time for that person to be blessed. If we continue reading in Genesis chapter 9, we are told that, “And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.”

PRAYER: O Lord my God, remember me and all my afflictions. Let your blessing be upon me and upon my house in the mighty name of Jesus.

My Father, My Father, I ask for your divine intervention in my spiritual life, in my finances, in my marriage, my health and business in the name of Jesus.

Amen.
