The Slothful and Negligent Have No Future

Understand that wealth is a product of a process, likewise, poverty. In the school of life, diligence in your assignment and duty is a non-negotiable requirement that guarantees personal and corporate success, as well drives the wheel of progress in any society. This remains arguably true, because how diligent a people are is the principal determinant that creates the contrast between the rich and the poor, failure and success, the underdeveloped from developed nations. Today, through their diligent efforts, some nations like Israel, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Rwanda, who few decades ago were once ravaged by war and highly impoverished, rose to become some of the most formidable economies in the world; dominating their negligent counterparts in the third world nations, who have rubber, yet import tyres, they have Cocoa but cannot produce chocolate, they have crude oil, yet import fuel.
Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men. Proverbs 22:29
Diligence is a difference maker; it is what differentiates the under achievers from the high flyers in life. Behind great inventions like the incandescent light bulb, is the diligent Thomas Alva Edison; behind the discovery of the free world is the diligent Christopher Columbus and his team, who defied every odds to discover America. In John 9:4, Jesus established His view about diligence when He said, “I will work the work of Him that sent me while it is day; for night cometh when no man can work.” The negligent has no future. Today, work with diligence.
