If we are going to see miracles today, we have to look for the Spirit in the Word and not just information about God. As we look around us today, we can see the damage that mere biblical knowledge without the Spirit has done to the Church. It reminds us of the scripture,
“For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.” Hebrews 4:2 (KJV)
So, you can see that the spirit word as powerful as it is not able to deliver miracles to most people, why? This is because the word is spiritual and must be believed, mixed with faith for it to deliver to you the results you are looking for. That’s why when a prophet speaks, and you believe the words we speak, something happens to you. You know why it’s that way? It’s because the Spirit for miracles comes through the Living Word Himself. When we speak as witnesses of the mysteries of God and not just as spectators, an echo or someone who just read some books, miracles will happen. Jesus said you are only a witness after the Holy Spirit comes upon you. (Acts 1:8) The Word without the Spirit cannot make alive; it cannot heal the sick and deliver the oppressed. That is why Paul said:
And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. 1 Corinthians 2:1-2
Many of the church people are living only on one benefit of the cross – “saved and waiting to go to heaven.”
What about laying hands on the sick, casting out devils, delivering the oppressed, raising the dead, prophecy and making the poor rich? I watched, Dr. Cerullo and Benny Hinn on a telecast asking, “why are there no miracles happening today in the American church?” The answer is simple; It will take the rising of sons of God! Children cannot perform miracles.
Excellency of speech and human eloquence does not guarantee miracles, only the Spirit Word does.
In 1 Corinthians 2:4 -5 Paul says, “My speech and my preaching was not with persuasive words of human wisdom.”
In other words, I preached under the anointing and power of the Holy Spirit and what I preached was confirmed with signs following. So that your faith might be in the power of God, not in human wisdom. So, you see, Sons of God cannot manifest without the Spirit and power of the living Word. The written Word without the spirit is for those who are still drinking milk. But when you eat the living Word full of the spirit, you start seeing things the way God sees. You start manifesting power like Jesus did. Read V. 9-14
Read 1 Corinthians 2: 13-15 (MSG)
“For this purpose the Son of God was manifest to destroy the works of the devil.” 1 John 3:8
And in Psalm 107: 20 It says, “He sent His Word and healed them.” Notice it didn’t say, “He sent His Word to heal” otherwise there is a possibility that it may not heal. But He sent His Word and healed – that’s a guarantee that it must work every time. The Proof producing secret is the Spirit Word. The preaching of the Word without the Spirit will dry us up like the dry bones in Ezekiel 37.
PRAYER:
Father in heaven, I believe that Jesus is the Spirit Word sent to save, heal and deliver me. I open my heart today and receive the Spirit. Let Your Word transform me spirit, soul and body in Jesus' mighty name.
