WALKING IN THE BLESSING

Once Abraham locked his faith in the blessing, to be the blessing and not seeking for a blessing, the blessing brought forth a son for him and Sarah in their old age. The blessing is very powerful. It opened up the dead womb of this one hundred years old couple and Isaac was born. Isaac grew up in his father’s house, he was raised like God had commanded Abraham.

“And the Lord said, Shall I hide from Abraham that thing which I do; Seeing that Abraham shall surely become a great and mighty nation, and all the nations of the earth shall be blessed in him? For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgment; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.” (Genesis 18:17-19)

Through the years as Isaac grew, he watched the blessing work in his father’s life. He saw the Blessing prosper his father financially, so that the time Abraham was old, and well stricken in age, the Lord had blessed him in all thing.

The Bible says: “And Abraham was old, and well stricken in age: and the Lord had blessed Abraham in all things.” (Genesis 24:1)

Isaac witnessed how the blessing made his father great and brought him an abundance of every good thing he ever desired. Today, it is my pray that you will follow after the footstep of Abraham, to obey God’s word and desire to be “the blessing” and not simply seeking for a little blessing that’s enough just for you.

PRAYER: Father in heaven, today I receive Your wisdom to be a blessing. I desire to be a blessing to my church, my community and the world at large in the name of Jesus.

As I become “the blessing,” instead of seeking “a blessing,” I see myself becoming greater and greater by the day in Jesus name.

Amen
