Wisdom is knowing what to do, how to do it and the right time to do it. Divine wisdom comes from the God and it is superior to “common sense.”
To create anything or become an agent of change anywhere you need divine wisdom working in you to break old records and see new ones.
Read James 1: 5 “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not.”
But you see wisdom works together with the Holy Spirit. That is why Psalm 104:30 says, “Thou sendest forth thy spirit, they are created: and thou renewest the face of the earth.”
Pre-eminence of Wisdom
Wisdom is the principle thing. If wisdom is principal to God, we however, cannot make money and our jobs the principal thing. Seek wisdom, desire it and search for it with all your heart because everything you will ever need depends on the wisdom you get from God.
“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” Proverbs 4:7
Principal means, “chief, most important or considerable. The “principal” of something is the most important part of a thing. Let me emphasize: "Wisdom is the principal thing” means first in time, place, order, and rank
For example, if you borrow money from the bank, there is principal and there is interest. The principal is the most important part. Without it, there is no interest. If you want to bake bread, what is the principal thing? The flour is the principal ingredient because without it you cannot even start the baking process. In the same manner, also the Bible says, “wisdom is the principal thing, therefore get wisdom.” Now you understand why wisdom was with God in the beginning. Wisdom works in concert with the preordained laws of God.
That is why if you have a problem, a project or a business you want to start, look for the principal thing? Go to God and seek for His wisdom first before anything else.
PRAYER
My Father in heaven, I open my heart to receive Your wisdom today.
I receive wisdom to live by today, I receive wisdom to do my business today. I receive wisdom to lead my family. I receive wisdom to make wise decisions today in the name of Jesus.
