WHEN MERCY LOCATES YOU

How do you know that God knows you? It’s when the mercy of God locates you.

When the mercy of God speaks, nothing can be against you. The loving kindness of God is called an act of mercy. More than anything else we should desire the mercy of God. Money, material things, and nothing we desire can be compared to God’s act of mercy. Mercy cannot be bought with money and it does not have a price tag because it was bought with the precious life of Jesus.

When mercy shows up, judgement is waived! Whenever you are in trouble, ask God for mercy because any judgement that was supposed to come on you will be waived.

Every miracle we receive is a mercy intervention. A miracle by definition is a divine intervention of God, altering the course of nature. That intervention is God’s hand of mercy upon the recipient of the miracle.

For example, if your car loses control and is miraculously brought back on the freeway, that is an act of God’s mercy. When you don’t have food or money, or supposing something bad happens that gets you in big trouble but suddenly everything turns around in your favor, what is that? We would say a miracle happened. Others may call such an intervention ‘luck’ but it's really an intervention of God’s mercy at work.

One man who consistently was under the mercy of God and benefitted greatly from it is David. God located David by mercy, He showed David continuous mercy despite all the weaknesses David had, simply because David had a genuine heart for God. The Bible calls him ‘the man after God’s own heart.’ He genuinely loved God, he was very sacrificial, and he would do anything for God; But, he was also very quick to repent in case he did any wrong.

Bible Reading: Psalms 89:20-25

Mercy locates the beneficiary. You don’t go looking for mercy. Psalms 23 says that “Goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.”

When your heart is right with God, mercy will locate you. When mercy locates you, goodness, money, destiny helpers, and opportunities will locate you.

Every crisis is a mercy crisis, every advancement is an advancement of mercy, and every set back is mercy deficiency.

For the mercy of God to locate a person it may not necessarily come through fasting and prayer, but by mercy.

When mercy steps in, prayer becomes easy. When mercy steps in, results come to you cheaply.

What may take a person 10 years to accomplish may take just a 24 hours turn around when you receive mercy.

Whatever you do, you have to exert too much to achieve little results, you must stop and evaluate because you might just be doing it the wrong way. Mercy does not require too much effort. Mercy gives you access to the presence of God, but grace positions you to possess your possessions.

David was not a lucky man, no. He relied on one secret for his success called the mercy of God. That is why in the book of Psalm you would often hear David crying out, “have mercy on me O God according to your loving kindness.” Never mistake God’s mercy for luck. Our prayer should always be, “O Lord let your mercy cover me.”

The most dangerous kind of person to mess with, is a person covered by the mercy of God. People who walk daily in the mercy of God don’t fight back, God fights for them.

David was permanently surrounded by God's mercy, that is why he never lost a battle. He was never wounded in a battle, he was never broke, he grew to become an old man before he died because of God's promise to him. “But my faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him: and in my name shall his horn be exalted.” Psalm 89:24

All evil attempts on David’s life were unsuccessful, because of this pledge God made to him. Saying, “My faithfulness and my mercy shall be with him.” So anywhere David went and whatever he did succeeded. God’s mercy and faithfulness is what we all need in our lives today.

I pray that the mercy of God will become a seal over your life today in Jesus name.

Again, in verse 24, the word "horn" is a symbol of power or authority. That means mercy will establish a person in office with power and authority.

When God's mercy is upon you, you will hear the noise of your enemies, but they will not be able to touch you. Jesus said, “The prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.” (John 14:30)

In Psalm 91 we also read, “A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked."(Psalm 91:7-8)

Mercy brings you to a wealthy place in life. “I will set his hand also in the sea, and his riht hand in the rivers.” (Psalm 89:25)

We want the mercy of God to bring wealth to us, open avenues for blessing, prosperity and to show us where the breakthroughs are. Mercy gives you control over the minerals of water, the sea and the rives. David didn’t look for God, God looked for him. I pray that God will hand pick you today by His mercy.
