YOU ARE ANOINTED TO DO GOOD WORKS

Our God is a good God and we, His children, are called to show forth His goodness not only through prayers and sharing scriptures but also through good works towards His people. Our opening scripture says that our good works must be so predominant and outstanding that they cannot be ignored. We won’t need to brag about them or publicize them, our works in the kingdom and our community will speak for themselves. We must saturate our world with so much good that people will talk about them and give glory to God because of us.

Here are three Bible facts about doing good works:

1. It is good and beneficial to men.

“This is a faithful saying and these things I want you to affirm constantly, that those who have believed in God should be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.” – Titus 3:8 (NKJV)

Just like you, people feel blessed and loved when they experience some good in their lives. That is why God has made you the light of the world and an ambassador of good works to the church. We must therefore be careful to maintain good works because it is good and profitable to men.

2. It makes you fruitful.

“And let our people also learn to maintain good works, to meet urgent needs, that they may not be unfruitful.” – Titus 3:14 (NKJV)

The Lord expects His people to bear fruits and one kind of fruit is the fruit of good works. The verse says that we must learn to maintain good works in meeting urgent needs. We must realize that we too are God’s answer to somebody’s prayer. You too are somebody’s destiny helper. Therefore, rise up and do some good.

3. We shall reap if we do not lose heart.

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” – Galatians 6:9 (NKJV)

There are rewards and benefit of reaping if we do not lose heart in doing good. Our good works are both fruits that others enjoy and seeds that bring us a great harvest. As you continue meeting the needs of people and sowing the seeds of good works, God will cause you to reap your harvest in due season.

Sons of God, always remember that doing good works is a significant fruit a son of God must keep bearing because it is good and beneficial to men and we shall reap if we do not lose heart.

“God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” Acts 10:38

PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, quicken me by Your Spirit to begin doing good works to Your glory, in Jesus’ name.

Amen!
